1998-2005Portfolio - Adriatic Chamber Music Festival

I have been working for the Adriatic Chamber Music Festival since early 1998, first serving as a co-founding faculty member and performer. Since then, the festival has become an internationally renowned chamber music festival, drawing students from around the world to study with internationally renowned chamber musicians and teachers. The festival takes place in the small southern town of Bonefro, with a population of roughly 1,000 people. The town is over 2,000 years old and serves as an ideal setting for the student to learn chamber music as well as take in all that is Italian culture.

Since its founding seven years ago, I have served as Director of Operations for the festival as well as served as a performer from time to time for the various concerts that the festival gives throughout the region every summer. In the capacity of Director of Operations, I am responsible for the planning and implementation of student recruitment, budget planning, scheduling, grant applications, creation of non-profit status, trip planning as well as all concert and faculty responsibilities during the festival every year.

Our primary, and most successful, tool in recruiting students and people interested in the festival, has been the festival website. More than two-thirds of the student body that attends the festival every year first heard of ACMF through searches on the internet. Prime placement in such search engines as Google and Yahoo have allowed people to easily learn about ACMF. Design, content, publication and maintenance of the website is performed by me, redesigning the site generally once very two years.
