If you ask anyone that knows me, they'll quickly tell you that I am a news junkie, constantly updating myself on the news from around the world, politics, science, technology and so on. Perhaps I'm a little abnormal in that department, but it's an obsession of mine. Here are are some venues in which I obtain nutrition for my obsession.

I spend a good amount of my time every day reading the news from many different news sources. I feel that if people stick to just one or two sources, they are depriving themselves of the real story. Since different news sources get somewhat different perspectives on the events of the day, I feel that the closest way to get the real story is to read as many perspectives as possible and to draw the best possible conclusion based on consistent facts and information coming from these sources. I list a variety of different sources that I read every day. Some are American sources and others are news outlets based outside of the United States, which often give a more accurate view than those of American news organizations. You be the judge. - more

If any fad has been born out of this year's presidential campaign, it would have to be the web log, or 'blog' for short. The 'blogosphere' has transformed the news media, bringing in new voices from both sides of the political spectrum, voices that might never have previously been heard in past elections and major news events. Before it was the well-groomed news anchor that was the sole source for election news and events of major importance that the average viewer received their information. The blog now allows for a whole new class of people to express their views across a vast media outlet known as the world wide web. Now people sitting in their underwear late at night in front of their computers drinking coffee or snacking on chitos can give opinions that are often picked up by the national media in their news reports of major events. It an ingenius invention, and I list some of the major blogs in this section. - more
