Go and see ‘An Inconvenient Truth’

I saw the movie “An Inconvenient Truth” over the weekend, Al Gore’s cinematic vehicle explaining global warming’s effect on a planet of over 6 billion inhabitants. No matter one’s opinion of the 2000 election, Gore’s expertise on global warming and the environment should not be ignored. His long time role as a tireless and passionate advocate on the subject over a period of several decades may yet show him to be a more effective leader outside the Oval Office than inside.

While many people may see global warming as a political issue drawn between party lines, it is encouranging to see that the movie is doing well in both red and blue states. Considering Gore’s position as a source of controversy among conservatives before and after the 2000 election, this could be a sign that people are breaking through the wall of political stalemate to learn more about this crucial issue.

I highly recommend this movie and hope that you will continue to recommend it to others so that as many people see this movie as possible.
